{making art with printables belle maman} art journal spread by Cathy Frailey

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to be associated with Julia and her lovely products!

For my first project, I used the lovely Belle Maman Printable Paper Pack!

The first thing I did was measure the journal I was using and then I resized the pages from the pack that I wanted to use. I also changed the coloring by adjusting the yellow tone to zero - I loved the hues that created! I also started cutting out a couple pieces of the ephemera.

I cut out some of the rose clusters and added lacquer and/or ink sprays to add depth and some shine and sparkle.

Then I started laying things down in my journal. I cut out the corner of the girl paper and distressed it with some ink. And I started adding drops and splashes of my ink sprays.

And the end product is a fabulous layout! I love the colors!

I added some sassy words and decided to keep the ephemera black and white for contrast.
